Following a string of successful performances, Cambridge Footlights are back by popular demand with two nights of hilarious comedy!
Cambridge Footlights are the world-famous comedy troupe who first aired the talents of some of the foremost British comedians and actors of this century. Founded in 1880, this university drama society boasts impressive alumni including Golden Globe and BAFTA-winning actress Olivia Coleman, Stephen Fry, Emma Thompson, Hugh Laurie, Trevor Nunn, Peter Shaffer and comedian-presenters Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc.
Joined by other student groups from across the country, don’t miss Footlights as they showcase the finest sketches, songs and standup from some of the country’s finest student comedians.
21:30, Thu 12th, Sat 14th February 2026 at Corpus Playroom

Footlight Grace Wakeman has never made a decision in her life. Comedy or degree? Breakfast or breakdown? Boys or girls? She's made herself comfortable sitting on the proverbial fence. But this time, the decisions aren't up to her. They're down to you. Varsity claim there's a puppet in every Footlights show: this time, it's Grace herself. You control the narrative, she faces the consequences.
Join her for her debut stand-up hour cum choose-your-own-adventure game as she explores pitfalls of free will, regret and terrible decision-making. One woman. Infinite possibilities. What could go wrong?
23:00, Wed 18th – Fri 20th February 2026 at ADC Theatre

A Work of Fiction is a sketch show aiming to parody and make light of different works of fiction-
from ancient epics and fairy tales, to Shakespeare and Kafka (or any other book/play/poem
imaginable)! Have you ever read a book and thought that the ending should be changed? That the
characters' personalities could use some TLC or that it’d be much more funny if the book had an
entirely different message? Then come and be in this absurd, witty and well-read sketch show. It’s
gonna be a real page turner, an Odyssey if you will, of an ADC late show!
23:00, Wed 11th - Fri 13th March 2026 at ADC Theatre

What happens after we die? What's the afterlife like? And why would anyone perform sketch comedy there?
Four Sketches and a Funeral is a brand new comedy following down on their luck comedians in their last ever performance before their souls leave their body. No pressure, right? A show about laughing at life, death, and everything brilliant in-between, it won't be one to miss.
21:30, Fri 20th March 2026 at Corpus Playroom

Flora Maxwell once said ‘If laughter is the best medicine then you’re not that ill’. But now she’s changed her mind. Flora will show you that there’s still sunshine, there’s still laughter and that the world isn't so bad really! It's you that's the issue. All of you.
What are her acting qualifications? Well. Flora, in the words of her old drama teacher, can be ‘challenging’. So she has decided to be other people and be entertaining instead! Because what’s more entertaining than other people. Any resemblance to actual persons living or dead is intentional.
Join Flora Maxwell for an hour of watching characters that look a lot like her. But don’t let that put you off.
